1929 Gibson Style 1 Tenor/Converted 5strg

Price: $3,750.00 USD

1929 Style 1 Gibson tenor banjo #9486-42 that has been converted to a 5 string. Steve Ryan of Grove city, Ohio made the matching 5 string maple neck and did a wonderful job on matching the finish and the gull wing inlay. The tuners are original and the new fifth has a matching vintage knob. The pot is all original including the brass tone hoop meaning the rim on this one piece flange maple pot assembly is uncut. The flange is warped more than usual and has been pinned at a break under a break at the neck and is hidden. Comes with new hard padded case along with the original tenor neck and case.
