1925 Fairbanks-Vega Whyte Laydie Mandolin Banjo

Price: $1,950.00 USD

Up for sale is a beautiful 1925 vintage Fairbanks-Vega Mandolin Banjo in excellent condition. At my age with hand issues I no longer attempt to play and am liquidating the remains of my collection of stringed instruments acquired over a 40 year period.

The Whyte Laydie designed by David Day in 1901 and was a tremendous success and today is among the most treasured vintage banjos. The same innovative features of the 5-string Whyte Laydie 5-string banjo (Whyte Laydie tone ring, heavy brass bracket band, unstained light colored maple neck and pot) were carried forward to the mandolin banjo models.
