Ome Tupelo Cherry
Price: $2,000.00 USD
Ome's renaissance was kicked off by just a few core models. The Tupelo was always a sales leader, and this current version continues to be made in the USA (now in Titusville, FL) with all of the care and first-class materials and accessories tradition demands.
This 12" Tupelo banjo boasts a rich, resonant tone, perfect for traditional music. The cherry wood rim, paired with a Renaissance head, delivers a warm, full sound. This model features 24 brackets for enhanced stability and projection. The elegant paddle-shaped headstock features tortoid buttons atop Rickard Cyclone tuners, complementing the vintage aesthetic. A comfortable 1 11/32" nut width makes for great playing ease.
The cherry wood neck features a smooth tung oil finish and a rosewood fingerboard with 17 hardened nickel frets and brass dot inlays. Brass dot side markers and an ebony-capped heel add to the refined look.
A custom 5/8" OME bridge and round-profile dowel- stick coordinator rod ensure optimal stability and tone. Aged brass hardware, including the tension hoop and Sweetone tailpiece, contribute to this banjo's classic appeal. The wooden armrest, tortoise shell binding, and ebonite rim cap provide both comfort and durability.
With a scale length of 25.5" and weighing approximately 5.7 lbs, this banjo is comfortable to play and easy to transport. It comes strung with string gauges of .010, .012, .015, .024w, and 010 and includes a deluxe hard-shell case. The retail price is $2,495.00.
