1927 Weymann Plectrum Banjo Style 1 Orchestra w/ Original Case

From the golden age of plectrum playing, this is an all-original banjo in very good overall condition. It features Weymann’s famous megaphonic rim, a marvel of both engineering and sound production. All parts and hardware are original, including the hard-to-find tailpiece cover. The action is low, and the sound is loud and clear.

The banjo itself exhibits only minor wear, including dents and dings along the back of the neck and to the tips of the headstock. Neither affects playability or feel. Fretwear is present but minimal. There are a few abrasions to the outer rim caused by sliding the resonator on and off.

The labeled, pop-off resonator has a series of stable cracks in its thin base-side rim. There is additional worming in the finish on the back and on the treble side rim.

The banjo comes in its original, green-lined case with receipt, wrench, and felt pick.
