Mark Hickler custom open back banjo with internal resonator

Price: $800.00 USD

I purchased this banjo from Mark about 2 years ago. It’s a beautiful instrument. Unfortunately for me, I’m not progressing in my clawhammer playing like I’d hoped, and this banjo simply isn’t getting played enough so I’ve decided to sell.

A Deering cradle strap and gig back are included.

Feel free to contact me for additional info. And I’ve included a link to Mark’s website if you would like more info on his banjos!

Thanks,
Nick

Here are the specs Mark sent me with the purchase:

Internal resonator construction. This kind of rim was pioneered by the Bacon company in the late 19th century.
The resonator bottom is curly maple.
The internal and external walls are hard maple.
The tonering is a brass Silver Belle made in India. The original SIlver Bell tonerings were also designed by the Bacon company.
The hooks, nuts, shoes and tension hoop are nickel plated brass, made by BIll Rickard in Canada.
Tuners are nickel plated brass, made by Gotoh in Japan.
The bridge is from Stewart MacDonald. Maple with ebony leading edge.
The dowel brace and tailpiece are nickel plated brass, made by Balsam in the USA.
The neck is made by the Tsai workshop in Vietnam. I don't know what wood species they used.
