Thinning the herd. Early 20th century CE XX special. I believe this model was later called Concert Grand. It is essentially a Whyte Laydie knock off with a bracket band and scalloped tone ring. Unlike the WL and later Concert Grand this banjo is not constructed of maple but of a dark wood which resembles rosewood.
All original parts. 11 inch rim. 26.5 inch scale. Fancy engraved inlay. Original funky leather side opening case that is quite rough.
Plays well with a straight neck. Heavier than a WL.
