Description

This is a Quality Banjo that was made in Japan either in the late 70’s or early 80’s. This is beyond a beginner banjo and is a high level for a step up instrument. This could be used to record and at jams also . If you want a quality banjo at a low price this is it.

This has a mahogany neck and resonator with a rosewood fretboard with diamonds inlaid. The hardware is nickel and includes a two piece flange and a 20 hole tone ring. This banjo definitely has some volume and these parts are helpful with that. This also includes a clean foamshell hard case.

Condition

The banjo is in fantastic shape. The metal looks great and the finish is in overall great shape. There is button scratching on the back of the resonator but the finish itself still has a nice gloss. The frets are nearly perfect and the fretboard is clean with spikes at frets 6,7,8,9,10,11,12. The case is also clean.

Set Up

The head is a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a no name and the strings are Huber. This has been set up to play and sound great.
