Jason Mogi Custom Fretless

Price: $1,400.00 USD

This banjo is a sweetie. Simple, elegant, and great tone. I have played it almost exclusively the past 4 years, leaving my other two in the closet. But, alas, I recently acquired the "end-game' banjo and am trying to downsize at the same time.

Short scale - 24" (tunes easily up or down without capo)
Fretless
Nylgut strings (but I have used classical guitar strings on this banjo also, and they really can kick out the volume)
Dobson tone ring (from Bill Rickard's shop in Ontario)
Geared violin style tuning pegs - PegHead brand
Two piece mahogany neck with thin ebony layer down the center.
Plain ebony fret-board with scoop
Overall it is a relatively light weight banjo. Great for traveling, but also holds its own in a session.
