12" Pot Banjo - Rolled Brass Ring, Choice Woods, Classy Inlay - offers considered

Price: $1,800.00 USD

Up for your consideration is a banjo built by Christian Stanfield of George Banjos. Originally built for his wife Ms. Vera Victoria of The Side Street Steppers. This banjo features fleur-de-lis & slotted square inlays on the fretboard, peghead and heel, what looks like golden tortoise shell around the base of the rim, figured woods throughout. Per the George banjos website after playing her Golden Girl for a little over a year, Vera decided she would like a wider fingerboard, so she and Christian went back to the drawing board to completely redesign the Golden Girl.

12" pot with 26 hooks
1 & 3/8" at the nut
25 &1/2" scale
The fretboard is beautifully grained cocobolo.
Flamed maple neck with ebony stringer
Brass position markers on side of neck
Heel and peghead capped in cocobolo, with golden mother of pearl inlay
Flamed maple pot with golden tortoise shell around the base of the rim and capped in cocobolo.
Snuffy Smith bridge
No-knot tailpiece
Gotoh tuning machines
5lb 9 & 1/4oz on my kitchen scale
A single spike at the 7th fret
Gorgeous golden pearl fleur-de-lis & slotted sqaure inlays
Brass ferrule on the endpin side of the dowel rod
Superior archtop case in excellent condition with keys
Including a bracket (seen in photos) that mounts a Snark tuner to the hooks.

The banjo does have a few small marks and some patina. There are a few small marks on the upper edge of the fretboard, a tiny mark on the upper edge of the peghead, a mark on the back of the dowl by the neck brace, and a few small marks on the pot.

I have a "tobacco" bison non-cradle banjo strap from Lakota Leathers in excellent condition that matches the tones of this banjo nicely which I could include for $50 if the buyer would like.

Pick-up / inspection welcome in central Ohio. Shipped in hard case. I'll require insurance if shipping, I hope that isn't a deal breaker for you. Actual shipping cost to be covered by buyer. It is important to me that you are happy with our exchange. Inspection and returns accepted. Shipping both ways to be covered by buyer for returns. Please view the photos and ask any questions prior to buying.
