1980 Richelieu Golden Eagle 5 string banjo

1980 Richelieu Golden Eagle 5-string banjo made by the famous banjo maker CC Richelieu from Wisconsin. It is constructed of the finest select maple from the north woods. It has bird's eye and striped maple adorning this exceptional instrument The inside of the resonator is autographed by bluegrass legend, Sonny Osborne This was my main performing instrument for many years. I'm ready to retire her and pass along to somebody else that will give it just as much care as I did .it was a original resonator banjo but I have taken off the resonator and used it mostly as an open back. The resonator can be put back on without any problem notice the intricate design of the gold and eagle inlay on the back of the resonator for its namesake. Update. Banjo has now been reassembled with the resonator and flange mounted. A new head, armrest and strings have been added
