Epiphone-Gibson Deluxe Gold late 90's
Price: $1,050.00 USD
Best bang for the buck! I bought this banjo from a fellow banjo hangout member 2 years ago for my backup banjo. It has the bright, full tone of banjos twice the price (really). You may or may not know that Epiphone is owned by Gibson. 20 years ago their Midwest Gibson sales rep had this banjo made with all the specials per the Gibson specifications (MOP inlay pattern of Earl Scruggs Granada, gold plate, rosewood fret board, tiger maple neck and resonator) He took it along to show his music customers what Epiphone could build. Where the serial number is usually stamped on underside of head, they stamped USED. This banjo got minimal play time until I bought it and I have only a little bit in case I needed it. Remo head is drum dialed to 90 give it that pop, spikes at 7, 9, 10. No noticeable fret wear and only armrest shows discoloring. Custom plush case in like new condition. I know you wonder why I'm selling. Well I just bought a 2003 Stelling Staghorn to go along with my 1968 Gibson RB800....plenty of horsepower and want to find the Epiphone a new home.
See link to YouTube file to hear this awesome instrument. I am offering a 2-day return but I am confident you won't.
