This is an amazing Top Tension banjo custom built by Gary Carter in 1995 using the Siminoff book and First Quality Music Supply parts.
Excellent craftmanship and great sound.
The banjo is walnut with details including purple heart in the neck, intricate inlay around the resonator, and ample binding. The fingerboard inlay is Flying Eagle or RB4. The resonator thumbscrews are gold plated, and the bridge is Stelling.
20 Hole Tonering.
I refinished the resonator using Stew Mac lacquer. The resonator is not flat a seen in the picture of it lying on the table. You do not notice it on the banjo.
This is a great price for a quality Top Tenison!!
I have enjoyed this banjo for several years, but it is time to pass it on.
