1880s Weaver banjo restored by Clifford Essex

Price: $450.00 USD

For sale is an 1880s Weaver that was converted from fretless to fretted in the 1950s by Clifford Essex. They gave the banjo their typical restoration at the time. A fine player but the pot looks a bit shabby, the result of a previous owner polishing the metalwork and removing some of the playing. That's the bad, but the good is that it is a superb player with a great sound, and all the parts are original. 11" rim, original metal Weaver tailpiece.
