Price: $625.00 USD
Wm. L. Lange Paramount Style A Tenor Banjo, c. 1923, in excellent condition. Back in the twenties, Paramounts were world renowned professional grade banjos. The photos tell the story. Mother of pearl inlay on headstock. Original geared tuners with grained ivoroid buttons (note: one of the buttons has been replaced). Rosewood fingerboard, bound in celluloid and decorated with diamonds. The back of the neck is a blend of maple and walnut. Maple resonator cleverly held to the flange with two simple twin sliders. It takes only seconds to remove and replace the resonator. Original Paramount armrest and easy flip-open tailpiece. Frets and neck/fingerboard show very little wear. No cracks, repairs, or issues of any kind. The neck is straight and the action is fast. Great vintage sound. Fingerboard width at the nut is 1 3/16". Head is 11". Case included.
