Deering Goodtime Classic Openback - w/ Case
Price: $500.00 USD
Mint Condition Deering Goodtime Classic - purchased new in 2016. I am the only owner this banjo has ever had and I can show original receipt upon request.
Deering stopped making the Goodtime Classic model in 2015. The current equivalent would be the Deering Artisan Goodtime Banjo, which retails on their website for $809. This banjo is a step-up from the "regular" Goodtime introductory level banjos. It's made in the USA of 100% maple. Stained a rich brown with a satin finish that won't stick to your hand while you play. This banjo has 5th string spikes at frets 7, 9, and 10 to make it easy to play in multiple keys/tunings. White dot inlays on neck, classic Deering peg head shape, planetary tuners, nickel-plated armrest.
This is a great banjo and I'm very happy with it. Only selling because I've bought another banjo and need to clear some space in the house. Case is included in the price, and I can throw in a strap as well.
I'm potentially also in the market to purchase a 5-string resonator banjo in the $1,000-$2,000 range. I would be willing to trade this banjo as part of my payment for such a banjo.
