Belltone #6 Nohole flathead
Price: $1,600.00 USD
Belltone is a Gibson style banjo made by Gene Elkins in Michigan. It has premium Mahogany parts and was created by Bill Sullivan and fit by Gene. This is an unplated Nohole flathead ring. Its not a Sullivan ring but Gene is tight lipped about who made it. The banjo is killer and has been played alot. The rim is a Sullivan factory floor rim. It's been played continuously since 2006 and has the tone to prove it.
I get that no one has heard of them and only 10 were made but the quality is there and the tone is sublime.
This banjo is consistently the favorite in the Old Wood String shop at festivals.
I am asking 1800, was 4000 new 14 years ago. Worth every penny.
I am willing to trade and dicker.
Sound file attached.
