This is a wonderful example of what Rickard Banjos are all about. This Custom Rickard Maple Ridge features a goat skin head. This offers up the original sound of an openback banjo that is warm, deep and that characteristic plunky sound. It has a gorgeous sound, amazing playability and a wonderful instrument to look at. The neck has a hand polished varnish that feels so smooth in the hand, you don't want to put it down. The frets are intimately installed into precise slots and shows off it's wondering construction that is a marvel to view while playing this instrument. You have to have one of these.

The Rickard Maple Ridge model features a three piece laminate maple neck with two way adjustable truss rod, 11 inch diameter 3/8 inch thick maple rim, Dobson Tone Ring, ebony fretboard, dots with star inlay, "S" frailing scoop, antiqued brass hardware, and Renaissance head.
