TB-11 Wyatt Fawley/Leo Posch conversion
Price: $7,000.00 USD
Hi All,
This 1930s Gibson TB-11 conversion to 5string features a high grade curly maple neck partly made by Wyatt Fawley and completed by me (Leo Posch).
The frets show very little wear and the finish on the neck is in perfect condition. There are some chips and scratches on the resonator walls. The plating on the flange is in very good condition and the tension hoop has some pitting. The flange and hoop are not warped and look structurally great.
There are the two Keith pegs on G,B with engraved Waverly Ds with a no name 5th tuner. Modern Presto tailpiece with a LeoPosch bridge. I believe it has a Blaylock 20 hole tone ring. I'm not sure but the resonator thumb screws look like they are chrome plated to me but they are supposedly original.
It comes with a Calton case that looks more beat up than it is because it has a speckled finish. There are some rub and scratch marks on it but it is perfectly sound and the inside is in great shape. All the latches work and it has a shoulder strap. Case serial is 8044.
The original neck is included.
