This banjo was built in 1998 by Frank Neat for real fan of Ralph Stanley who wanted a banjo like Ralph's. And here it is. This banjo just sounds great. As with these great two piece flange, 40 hole arch top ring banjos, they are capable of a great range of sound, responding to your set-up preferences quite well. I have spoke with Frank about this banjo, and he remembered building it for the guy I got it from in SE Ohio, who sold it due to health conditions.
