SOLD Prucha Pioneer with JLS #4 / Yates red maple rim $2,000

Neck is mahogany / rosewood and is radiused. I believe this was built around 2008. I’m selling this because I bought a Huber and don’t need 2 mahogany banjos.

Around 2011 the pot was changed by Arthur Hatfield to a gold plated JLS #4 and a Yates red maple rim (I don’t have the original Prucha pot). Besides normal playing wear there is a small crack in the resonator veneer; it is only through the veneer and not into the wood underneath and is not loose. This was caused by low humidity in my house. Some plating is worn from the bracket hooks and resonator L-brackets but it’s not visible without removing the resonator. Normal fret wear (see photos) and a couple small dings that are hard to see if you know where to look.

I tried to show everything in the photos but contact me if you want more photos of specific areas. Willing to have a Zoom meeting to play it for you. This is a really responsive banjo with a nice 4th string and I hate to let it go.

Also included is a Shubb Fine Tune radiused capo, a radiused Mike’s mute, and an assortment of bridges (Purcell and Scorpion).
