Pair of Custom Enoch Banjos

Price: $4,500.00 USD

I am selling a matching pair of custom Enoch banjos. Both of these banjos were made for the same customer, and were patterned after the customer’s Kyle Creed Banjo. The original owner is a legend in the old-time community (I won’t blast their name publicly here but will share with serious buyers). Kevin Enoch is of course a master builder and his custom banjos are nearly impossible to get. Not only that, but he has only made three formica banjos to date, so these are extra rare. All that to say, these banjos have mojo and, more importantly, they sound fantastic and are in excellent condition. I hate to let these gems go, but, alas, I need the money and have too many banjos.

Both banjos have walnut necks, dyed maple pots, 12” rims, and 25.5” scales. The fretless has a brass hoop tone ring and frosted plastic head. The fretted banjo has a tuba phone tone ring, calfskin head, and one 5th string spike at the 7th fret. The fretless comes with a Enoch branded gig bag and the fretted comes with a black Superior bump case with an Enoch Instruments badge.

These banjos were modeled after Kyle Creed’s banjos, and a particular Kyle Creed Banjo at that, and are set up in Kyle’s style for Round Peak playing: high action that allows playing over the fretboard without a scoop. The higher action also gives the tone the pop that is part of Kyle’s sound. My main banjo is a Kyle Creed and I can attest that the set-up is spot on.

-Fretless banjo action: 3/16” where the neck meets the pot with a 5/8” bridge.
-Fretted banjo action: 5/32” at the 12th fret and 7/32” at the 21st fret with an 5/8” bridge.

I would like to sell these as a pair and I am asking $4,900 obo plus shipping.

Please reach out with questions, or to request more photos and/or a video. I’m happy to hop on the phone, FaceTime, or a Zoom as well.
