This rare Cove Creek TBDLX-PRO Banjo is a vintage 5-string banjo manufactured c. 2017 as Tanglewood's top-of-the-line instrument designed in the United Kingdom. With a black "T" headstock and dominant maple that has a polished finish, this right-handed instrument features a closed-back maple neck / body / pot and a brass tone ring that tightens down a Remo head with 24 banjo hook brackets that provides great projection tonality and classic ring at all 22 frets. The straight neck length is a classic 49.5mm (19.5") X 5mm (2") from nut to tone ring along the fretboard with inlaid abalone designs as shown in the pictures. The wear is so minimal that the neck feel and playability seem new down to the entire 14" pot and truss rods. The frosted head has a single dent mark above the patterned elbow rest. Cleaned and polished leather strap included as well as the good condition case and clasps which are also cleaned and prepped for the buyer. Some wear is apparent on the exterior of the case. Designed for expert level players, this banjo will be stabilized by internal and external protective coverings/wraps then shipped in the cleaned hard-shell case for protection and transport. A rare find for folk and world music enthusiasts looking for a high-quality, unique instrument with a touch of nostalgia.
