Baystate "Electric"

Price: $1,995.00 USD

This is an extremely interesting, full-size banjo attributed to the Boston company, John C. Haynes & Co, maker of the famous "Baystate" instruments. It has finely cut mother of pearl inlays in the ebony fingerboard and peghead which are similar to many banjos we’ve seen from other Boston makers. This is a typical spun over rim but it has a scalloped metal tone ring and metal tube on top……this very similar to a Fairbanks electric tonering but more than likely an emulation done by another Boston builder. The shoes are the barrel type hardware that are found typically on Fairbanks electric banjos. The rim is 10-3/4’ in diameter and the scale length is 26-1/4 inches. The nut is pearl. This is a fine banjo for any style of playing.
