SOLD Douglas Unger Presentation

Price: $3,950.00 USD

This gorgeous Unger presentation banjo has a 26" scale and a 10.5 inch head. The tubaphone tone ring gives it a bright sound that will cut through in a jam. The two-piece maple neck has a backstrap, a beautiful Unger heel carving, inlays on the back of the peghead and heel cap, and seven intricately engraved inlays plus mother of pearl lines through the first four frets. The flowerpot on the peghead has an abalone center and is as nice as I've seen. The serial# on the pot is 58400, and the nameplate (hard to see in the photo) reads D Unger. I've owned the banjo since 2018 and am not the original owner. The neck is 1.25 inches at the nut and is deeper than most. I'll be happy to answer any other questions I can about this classic instrument. Hard shell case included.
