Gibson "Parts" Flathead banjo. The previous owner told me his uncle found it in a pawn shop around 30 years ago, cleaned it up and gave it to him. He tried but lost interest and put it in the closet. I've had it for about a year. I replaced the head and *8 hooks and nuts that weren't right. The 11" rim is a good. solid multi-ply but likely not Gibson, though it does have an original label. No numbers. The neck is a Gibson remake...I feel certain but am uncertain. Old style MOP Wreath Inlays. Several parts are pre war era**

I recently had my luthier do a minor level and dress to the frets and capo hooks at 7 9. 10. He cleaned and oiled the fretboard and set it up with a really nice action, around 2.5 mm at the 22nd fret. Clear strong bark bottom to top. Very good pre-war "parts" banjo at an excellent price.
