Deering Goodtime Classic open back
Price: $450.00 USD
I believe this is called a Goodtime Classic, which they quit making a few years ago. It’s my son’s and since he’s not a member here, he asked me to try to sell it. It’s in very good condition, so I’m thinking he didn’t play it much. No telling its age because Deering doesn’t put serial numbers on these, but it’s at least a few years old. I kinda think the Artisan series displaced this model, but I’m no expert on Goodtime banjos.
It has spikes at the 5th, 7th, 9th and 10th frets. If it ever had a Goodtime bag, it doesn’t anymore. This gig bag, which seems pretty good, is called a Superior.
I play older Vega open backs, so I’m not familiar with 21st century banjos. This seems like a student banjo and pretty good at this price. I’m not smart enough to make a video of me playing it, as I was born B.C. (before computers) and don’t know such things.
