RARE! 1971 Vega V-45 Banjo
Price: $4,500.00 USD
Put on your sunglasses when you look at this one! This is the ultimate Vega bluegrass banjo.
C.F. Martin bought Vega in 1970. They bought the designs, the tools, the parts and everything else! Frank Martin was determined to do for Vega banjos what C.F. Martin had done for the guitar world. Staring at the top of the line, Martin set out to make a banjo equivalent of the world famous D-45 — from the unique inlays on the peghead and fretboard to the engraved gold plated metal parts . Let your eyes wander to the abalone bordered rosewood resonator before you admire the pearl butterfly on the resonator back. Every edge (even inside) of this ultimate banjo is spectacularly adorned.
The unique flat-head tone ring produces bright, sparkly tones with plenty of punch, depth and projection as well. This rare (less than 20 produced), extremely collectable 5-stringer is in mint condition and the perfect addition to a serious player's collection. Chances that you'll ever see another one are as rare as the instrument itself.
