Custom GEORGE banjo built by Christian Stanfield - Price reduced!

Price: $1,250.00 USD

Custom "George Banjo" (Somerville, TN)... built by luthier Christian Stanfield for his wife and fellow musician Vera, of the Side Street Steppers, and played on their first CD.
Lovely finish on this 12" figured maple beauty which features a brass tone ring; cocobolo fretboard and trim; Rickard aged raw brass rim/shoes/hooks and no-knot tailpiece... and when I purchased the banjo from Christian, he completely set it up, and put on new matching gold Gotoh tuners. It has a classic fleur-de-lis inlay pattern. I put on a matching Vance walnut and ebony bridge.
It's in excellent condition and no issues whatsoever.
The scale length is 25.5" and the nut width is 1 3/16".
(Will include a mint condition Superior hard-shell case for an add'l $100... you'll save a few bucks, and make for more secure shipping)

Follow the links below to hear the first vid I recorded with it (the evening I got it) "Winder Slide"... and the most recent "Cumberland Gap".
